Why HCDE?

During an exploratory engineering class, I was asked to think about an infuriating experience with technology. I was immediately reminded of a specific brand’s app, and how the poor UI created my allegiance to their largest competitor. I was introduced to a new way of thinking about the role of design in technology and I’ve been fascinated ever since.

WHAT ELSE?

Within SWE UW, the Society of Women Engineers, I serve as an Academics Director. Within the position, I collaborate with my team to plan and facilitate events for incoming engineering students to provide support and advice as they explore engineering majors and take on their first year of college.

I’m also a member of the UW Women’s Club Soccer team. Attending weekly practices as well as games and tournaments around the PNW.
